In General: This week begins with some lovely intense and passionate energy generated by the Moon, Neptune, Venus, Pluto and the Sun. Feelings for those you love are highlighted and it’s easy to idealize love relationships! Weather wise expect a fairly dry and hot week nationally. The Sun enters Sagittarius, sign of the adventurer and visionary on the 21st. Mercury follows into Sagittarius on the 23rd suggesting long range plans and overseas communication or new learning possibilities. If your birthday falls this week then expect the year ahead to be filled with journeys and romance! On the world scene food prices may rise and some difficulties with harvests or crops are likely. Locally the 20th can be a trying day with plan changes and little mishaps!

On the 20th December 2007 the Un General Assembly proclaimed 2009 as the ‘International Year of Astronomy.” In 2009 it will be 400 years since the Italian scientist Galileo Galilei directed a telescope to the heavens. The International Year of Astronomy (IYA2009) marks this event. With the theme of “The Universe, Yours to Discover”, IYA will aspire to reconnect people with the night sky. IYA2009 is a program of the International Astronomical Union, a body that represents professional astronomers worldwide, and UNESCO, the educational and cultural arm of the United Nations.
