In General: The standout feature of this week is the New Moon eclipse on January 26th- Australia Day! This signals changes and new ways of doing things so it will be interesting to see what this means on a national level! On a personal level it should open our minds to new opportunity and expansion. This week begins a process which brings about an acceptance of situations external to the social norm. With Mercury still retrograde we are also required to do things slowly and keep a low profile! For those who have birthdays this week the year ahead will hold some sign significant transformations and interesting opportunities. On a global level this week could see some political upheavals and unexpected changes of heart. Locally expect to feel a little restless and out of sorts.

Astral News: This is the International Year of Astronomy and as such I thought it meet to let you know about a lesser known English Astronomer, Thomas Harriot, who is attributed (as opposed to the long held acclaimer, Galileo) with making the first drawing of the moon in July 1609. Harriot not only preceded Galileo but went on to make maps of the Moon’s surface that would not be bettered for decades!

March 21-April 20
This will be a socially oriented week with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the company of good friends. The 24th is all about hard work and the 26-27 are great for serious discussions and getting results. There is the potential for more responsibility to heaped upon you too.

April 21- May 21
Romance and responsibilities fill this week and can get in each other’s way too! Mars-Saturn influences will boost your energy levels and have you embarking on new projects as well as finally resolving some old ones! There is a lot of personal inner growth happening now.

Be careful of mistakes this week, you can be too quick to act! Its really a week about obligations and jobs that need to be attended to and flying off on a tangent just wont do! The eclipse on the 26th is good for new ideas and relationships. You can be tempted to overspend or borrow, think again.

You are focused on a goal at present and there id not much that will shake your determination! Some unusual Venus, Mars and Uranus energy around the 22-23rd can make relationships interesting and unpredictable. You might feel out of sorts as a result. Its important not to take advantage of a partner.
