In General: Today May 13, Retrograde Mercury moves from Breezy Gemini into stubborn Taurus. This effects our communications and can bring about some immovable stances that work for no-one! Later in the week Taurus squares Jupiter and Neptune in Aquarius. Imaginative and creative inspiration is fused with a practical approach. Real progress can be made and real profits can be reaped! The last two days of the week suggest a need to go slow and be sure of your facts before acting. Neptune, Mercury and Jupiter combine to confuse issues and cause all sorts of muddle. If you have a birthday this week then the good things come from your creative work ethic and abilities and the difficult things come from your inability to see it all clearly and your propensity to be inflexible. On the world scene expect some mild confusion and delusion to pepper news stories and locally it’s a great week for the arts and any similar creative projects.

Astral news: Two missions to study the cosmos, Herschel and Planck, are scheduled to go into space on May 14 aboard the same Ariane 5 rocket from the Guiana Space Center in French Guiana. The European Space Agency, or ESA, leads both missions, with significant participation from NASA. Planck will answer fundamental questions about how the universe came to be, and how it will change in the future. The Herschel observatory has the unique ability to peek into the dustiest and earliest stages of planet, star and galaxy growth.

Energy levels are on the increase this week. You can overdo it however and find yourself achieving little because of a tendency to spread yourself too thin! Watch what you say to others and try to be as clear a possible as misunderstandings are more than likely they are a part of life this week! Don’t be too inflexible either!

You are focused on getting more from life at this time and need to feel that you are reaching your true potential! You are being given a chance to review old decisions from a new perspective so take this time to reflect and perhaps move a little differently! The 20th or thereabouts can present you with issues involving authority figures.

It’s a busy social time for Gemini. However you are not feeling particularly social and are keen to look within for answers and take some time out for yourself! Jupiter and Uranus have you moving and shaking around the 16th and making things happen in your life! It can all be a little too hectic, so pace yourself.

Cancer

There is a lot of confusion about this week. On deeper levels it’s a time of regeneration and some spiritual growth and enlightenment. Spending time in nature will be helpful in many ways so get out and about if you can. There are rewards for hard work this week too so be prepared to reap happily.

Keep an eye on finances and remain true to your instincts and you will be fine this week. Openness to change can turn a difficult situation into the treasure you're hoping to find. Fortunately, the Sun receives support from revolutionary Uranus on May 16, encouraging you to be open to innovation and change.

Communication is paramount this week and your personal inner growth is also highlighted. There is a tendency to try and do too much this week and not much will be achieved this way. Plan with an understanding of your energy levels and get your commitments in a reasonable order for best results.

Miscommunication and misunderstandings are very likely this week. Say little and say what you mean clearly and you may avoid the worst of it!
