In General: Mercury in Capricorn connected with Pluto on December 8th, beginning a potent transformation of energy from chaotic and expansive to a more inward looking and goal directed energy. Our thinking should be systematic and our center of attention more sober and practical. It seems easier to focus on the task at hand. Our conversations may be quite realistic or focused on business and practical matters. Our thought patterns and communication styles became more logical, neat, and well thought-out. Realism supersedes unrealistic dreaming, and correctness becomes important to us. We need to be cautious of becoming too rigid in our thinking, however and losing both the spirit and spontaneity of the season. For some indeed, there is fine line between realism and pessimism. If your birthday occurs this week then you need to remember to lighten up a little in the year ahead and avoid limiting yourself with a glass is half empty approach. On the world scene this should be a fairly slow week, filled with little spats and backbiting but not much else, a kind of calm before the storm! Locally it’s an excellent time to focus on romance and taking that relationship seriously!
