astral meanders October 6-12 2010

In General: October 8th brings us a New Moon in Libra. It's time for new beginnings across the board. At the very least many of us will be revamping the old and creating a new and positive feel in our lives. There’s a lot of activity as a result and a desire to get the balance the right. The same day heralds Venus Retrograde which I elaborated upon last week! Longstanding friends and situations require some revising and rethinking and separating of the wheat from the chaff. During Venus retrograde, conditions dealing with love inclinations, attraction, values, relationships, attractiveness, money and possessions are distorted and do not function in their customary ways. This affects everyone, in spite of sun sign. This is a time when we are called upon to go back and take care of unfinished business.Often we are required to deal with deep feelings that have their beginnings in long-ago events. Should you have a birthday this week, then you will feel this need to revamp and get organised for the whole of the year ahead and not just the next few days! On the world scene it’s a time for decisions, for organising and generally taking things seriously and with a sense of discernment and criticism. Locally we can expect to focus on relationships in a very serious way!!

The 7th can be a bit feisty. You are more than usually sensitive. Practice counting to ten! You can react badly to others trying tell you what you to do this week. You would do well to communicate your issues gently and clearly instead of your usual less considered approach. Think things through before acting impulsively.

There are a few visits into the past this week and you are likely to make contact with some old friends. It seems that you need to tie up some loose ends before you can move forward. Relationships are highlighted and this can be a very romantic and warm time for many of you. Just don’t try to push things.

Relationships receive some attention from you guys this week. The new moon heralds a little emotional overhaul! You can sort out what works and what doesn’t now and begin things anew! It’s good to let go of all that over intellectualising and just feel your feelings for a change! Go for it and see what you discover.

Some old power struggles could still be giving you a run for your money! The way to deal with this is to embrace change as it is presented and be prepared to compromise, break from routine and look at things from a new angle! Big home based commitments are coming your way soon and you need to be ready!

This is the start of a period where you may find that your needs and desires take second place to the help and assistance that will be required from you via a family member. Your sense of purpose in the world and your relationships with family members will be strengthened by all this activity.

Virgo

Finances are picking up this week. There are new plans, the possibility of learning new skills and generally more opportunities for you guys now. Keep alert to it all and go with the flow. The energy of the moment is right up your alley, you love analysing and getting things in order! It’s all positive now!

Libra
September 24- October 23
This is a great time to get organised about looking after yourself. A better diet, more regular exercise and generally more time for you are excellent things to embrace now. It’s an excellent time to look deep and learn a bit more about yourself and what your true desires are too. Your heart and mind are beginning to understand each other.

October 24-November 22
This week is an excellent opportunity to get your health on track and start a new personal regime. It’s not a week for serious activity, business meetings or anything that requires your complete focus though. Spending time out of doors is an especially helpful activity now and will get you thinking and breathing more easily.

Sagittarius

It’s still important to focus on the smaller things and get the little things done. It’s not a great time for big plans and large ideas. Getting long term plans in order and working slowly behind the scenes for the bigger picture will work best now. Good preparation will make things that occur later this month work better for you.

Staying alert and mindful to the little problems that come up now will take care of them before they turn into big issues. Work, business or career matters are on the rise now and there are some enterprising moments this week. This is all preparation for some very nice results coming your way later this month.

There are new adventures brewing for you guys so just hang in there! Some interesting learning will take place this week if you are alert to the happenings around you. You may be feeling a tad restless but it’s not the time to push things. Let it happen in its own way because it will! Trust the people around you.

It’s an integral time now and you need to take of any unfinished business that could cause you to come unstuck down the track. The plans you make and the things you want to do in the future all hinge on the way you handle things now. This is more a time for intelligent background work than the start of anything new.

Astral Peeks: Comet-planet??
The innermost planet Mercury has been photographed spurting a faint comet-like tail. Unlike a comet, which is a sublimating ball of dusty ices, Mercury is dry. This tail is created by a gusher of solar radiation accelerating sodium atoms off Mercury's surface. They absorb enough energy to escape the planet's gravitational pull and whiz off into space. The pressure of the solar wind sweeps back the expanding cloud into a windsock-like tail.
