Simple meditation practice.
Do physical exercises for about five minutes to cleanse and energize your etheric body before you begin. Shake the wrists till they are loose, roll the neck, jog lightly on the spot, feel the soles of your feet on the ground and connect with your centre of strength.
Remember: To meditate does not mean to fight with a problem or yourself or your monkey mind or your mood or your way of sitting. To meditate means to observe. To let go and observe.
Get comfortable: rest hands loosely on the knees: tuck in the chin a little and release the back of the neck: put the tongue on the roof of the mouth and release the jaw: drop the shoulders: let the hips sink into the buttocks: put a smile on the lips: close eyes and rest eyelids softly upon the cheeks…..
Focus your attention on the subtle sensations of breathing.
Don't force the breath, or bear down too heavily with your focus. Let the breath flow naturally and simply keep track of how it feels. Savor it, as if it were an exquisite sensation you wanted to prolong. Think of the breath coming in & out your entire body, through every pore.
Sense the rhythm….feel the coolness in and the warmth out of nostrils……listen to the sound……only the breath matters….
Consciously breathe from a deeper place, take the breath to the diaphragm and stomach area, bellow breathe……..in and out not up and down! Imagine a lotus in the centre of your navel as you breathe in the petals expand and the lotus opens up… as you breathe out the lotus petals fold back in and the lotus closes….
Count the breathe….3in and 6 out………
Close your eyes and breathe slowly and deeply. As you breathe in, imagine that you are ‘inhaling peace,’ that is, imagine that peace is filling you up, coming in through your lungs and circulating around your body. As you exhale, visualize all the stress and negativity leaving your body through your nose and mouth. After several repetitions, you should feel your stress significantly lessened.
Imagine that with each in breath you are sending warm, healing energy to every cell in your body, and washing away tension, pain and left over emotions with each out-breath. Letting that go…become aware of the physical body again, the smile on the lips, the hands on the knees, the buttocks on the ground….then gently open the eyes.
It is always wise to keep in mind that while Sun sign astrology is interesting it is not definitive...knowing about your unique and individual chart is the only way to instigate a deep insight about your weeks or months ahead and the energy trends affecting you personally!
