Astral meanders 7-13 December 2011

In general: This month’s Full moon is in Gemini on December 10th. This is a Lunar Eclipse occurring at 18 degrees of Gemini beginning very late in the evening and continuing into the early hours of the 11th. It should bring settlements, writing ventures, gatherings, talks, choices, lots of new ideas, moves, and community activities, so do expect to be celebrating new projects or the closure of old ones. Uranus moves direct again on December 10th in Aries. Some things new and exciting are brewing and will reach a climax at this time. This opens up a period in which we will feel the need to know ourselves better and understand our goals more clearly. Mercury goes Direct on the 13th and all things stagnant can finally move ahead. We have the go-ahead to sign documents or buy electronics or vehicles as well. If you have a birthday this week your life in the year ahead will take on your innermost dreams and begin to make them realities! It’s an exciting time for you guys! On the world scene it’s a week of some closure on long standing issues and some commitment to new projects. Locally there is increased social activity and community involvement.

Aries
This is a wonderful time for Aries as so much work and financial gain can be yours now. New projects can be pushed forward and old projects can be brought to a successful conclusion. The full moon highlights spontaneous travel, short journeys and the opportunity to broaden your horizons. It also proffers some hard work and a busy schedule!

Taurus
Finances and work are the focus this week and the inevitability of some change and perhaps some rationalising of resources necessary. Relationships seem to be picking up energetically and there are finally some pleasant vibes for you to enjoy! Personal beauty and health matters can be revved up now and the results will be amazing.

Gemini
This full Moon eclipse is sitting in Gemini so its effects will be profound for you guys! This eclipse will bring up your deepest unresolved issues and demand that you find closure! Any week links in your life will show up clearly. On the up side you may also get an outstanding pat on the back for your talents.

Cancer
This week is still not a great time for decision making. For many of you the work situation is due to change in some way and there are new prospects and new opportunities available. Some issues from last month will be resolved and those things that were hidden in some way will now be revealed. Sibling or family issues can also be a part of this week.

Leo
Relationships are due to get a sparkle and there is some nice romantic warmth to this area of your life now. Your communication is stronger and more to the point than usual which is generally a positive thing but can run the risk of upsetting some folk! It just becomes clearer who your real friends are!

Virgo
The focus is work, reputation and personal projects this week. All of these things will receive a nice boost and you begin to power ahead. This energy will increase as you move into the New Year! Personal projects kin particular will give you something to smile about. You can think about manifesting a dream or two too.

Libra
This week it’s wise to make very few plans and remain flexible as things will require attention from you ate last minute! Be aware that nothing is quite as it seems right now and avoid major decisions. Your world is opening up to travel and education right now and lots of new possibilities can be brought into manifestation.

Scorpio
You may be waiting for a financial issue to resolve or come to conclusion. This week is not the week for that resolution, but once Mercury heads direct after the 13th it’s all systems go again. Be Patient. Your social and romantic life is busy and satisfying now. It’s a great time to take part in groups and group activities.

Sagittarius
You are due for greater recognition and support to enter your life and whilst this is a yearlong trend this week sees its obvious start! It’s a busy time but there will be time for you to indulge in romance and some light-hearted fun with the family. It’s an important time to consolidate new directions and projects.

Capricorn
A lot of reflection and objectifying of your life and dreams is taking place now. Try not to waste valuable energy worrying about the little things and just get on with the big things that your intuition is pushing towards. A little self-love and personal indulgence will go a long way now. Enjoy yourself, it’s a good thing!

Aquarius
Watch financial temptation this week, temptation may get the better of you. It is overall a great time for friendships and loved ones though. Creative activities are favoured as is spending a little time on your home and surrounds. Taking new adventure opportunities will bring you some unexpected delights.

Pisces
You may feel a little over burdened by life in general this week. This is a significant career time and the decisions made now will have a long term effect so be sure to go slow and think these through. Others may find they see a new or unexpected you now and it’s important that you give them time to adjust.

Astral Peeks: Full lunar Eclipse
The Total Lunar Eclipse on December 10, 2011 will be visible in its entirety from all of Australia and New Zealand, and Asia. For Australians and New Zealanders this will be a well-placed eclipse, with the entire eclipse visible starting around midnight AEDST. This eclipse is quite a short one, with totality lasting 51 minutes. Lunar Eclipses (unlike Solar Eclipses) are completely safe to observe with the unfiltered and unaided eye - no special equipment is needed.

Telescope observations can be done, however at full moon the lack of contrast due to absence of shadow regions means that visible features are limited. Binoculars can help improve the view, giving you more magnification and intensifying the colouration. Sometimes a Total Lunar Eclipse is best viewed without any optical aid, and just lying under the stars watching the change as the Moon first gets slightly darker (penumbral phase), then starts to get eaten away (partial phase), finally turning deep red as it enters totality.

Meditation Moments: Meditation when travelling…..

1. Bring a familiar article with you. You’ll feel more at home if you pack a small item that reminds you to practice.
2. Wear eyeshades. Meditation is hard to spot from the outside. If you wear eyeshades, flight attendants and seatmates will accept you’re asleep and they’ll be less likely to start talking to you.
3. Schedule a meditation period for whenever you wake up. The greatest unsettling thing about travel may be losing your regular schedule. By meditating whenever you wake up, you’ll stay on track.
4. Meditate outdoors. Go down to the beach or ask the staff at the front desk if there’s a park or public garden nearby.
5. Try walking meditation. Just focus on your breath or positive thoughts while you adopt a sound and calm pace.
Traveling augments your life with fresh experiences and opportunities. By adding some meditation time into your timetable, you’ll have more energy to enjoy all the delightful things around you wherever you go.
