In General:
May
2016 is a lot more merciful than previous months this year. This month the
opportunity to become aware of and bring forth the realization of not only your
most basic survival needs, but also your heart’s desires is present. A New Moon
in Taurus on May 6th highlights relationships, taking care of our physical
bodies, and our security. This month is the perfect time to “seed” our
intention for adding more splendour, love and wealth to our lives. Mercury
is retrograde until May 22, when it resumes its direct motion. But this Mercury
retrograde is more favourable than usual as it emphasizes the positive aspects
of retrograding; greater ability to analyse situations and to reconsider some
things in a productive manner. It’s a good time to rethink a plan, to fix mistakes,
to reconsider or renegotiate something. Jupiter resumes its direct
motion too, on May 9th which greatly increases our strength of will
and energy. The Full Moon however, on Monday 21st is in Sagittarius.
This
moon is conjunct Mars and comes with some confusion and tension. If you have a
birthday this month then it’s a pleasant year ahead, where many seeds for the
future can be sown. On the world scene the most problematic energy will be
around the full moon on the 21st. Locally enjoy the more peaceful energy of the
first three weeks of May.
Aries
For those Aries not yet seriously involved,
romantic opportunities arise during May that are tied to your profession. There is also
opportunity for great financial and professional success. It’s up to you to
make the most of proffered opportunity. Health can suffer this month however so
be sure to look after yourself and get the rest you need.
Taurus
With Venus in Taurus,
this month is full of sensuality. You seem to have more love to offer and
attract love at the same time. The Sun in Taurus gives you energy, enhances your
leadership and administrative skills, gives you authority, and makes you stand
out from the crowd. You can now analyze situations with clarity and wisdom.
Gemini
May seems to be a
month of settling down, development, and behind-the-scenes workings. Something
is in the works, and it really is something good and important. However there’s a risk of injuries,
and accidents. You should take extra care of yourself, and not expose yourself
to dangers if possible.
Cancer
Fir Cancerians it’s a
dynamic, exhilarating month, with more opportunity for socializing and rich in
favorable connections. When in need, friends will come to the rescue, it seems
all you need do this month do is ask for their help and they are there. Make the most of this
energy and go out and have fun.
Leo
Throughout the month
of May, relationships and socializing contribute to Leo’s success and there’s
greater involvement with travel and communication related topics. Finances, look
excellent but it’s a wise time to steer clear of gambling, speculation, and extreme
or unnecessary spending.
Virgo
Overall it’s an
awesome month for Virgo but there is a little interference from Saturn that can
hold things up and at times make for tension within your relationships. All activities
that involve travel or long-distance connections are highlighted. As is money which
seems to be coming your way easily.
Libra
Take care of your
body and more so of your mind in May Libra! A confident and relaxed state of
mind is invaluable now. Don’t worry about small things and avoid overdoing it
cerebrally! You should take a more detached look at things and avoid conflicts,
because they create stress and right now you need peace and harmony.
Scorpio
This is a time of
concentrated socializing for Scorpios. You see a lot of people, attend
collective events, forge partnerships, and so on. All of these contribute to
create a favorable energy for love and relationships and also in general
happiness. Energy levels are not optimum so pace yourself.
Sagittarius
It’s a challenging
month full of intense activity and blocked initiatives but regardless of what
the situation is, you’ll come out of it on top. That’s the key to this month
for you guys! All roads lead to success, even the bumpy ones! The triple
conjunction Sun-Mercury-Venus is lucky for you, particularly because it forms
positive aspects with Jupiter.
Capricorn
During May you guys also
enjoy an unmatched power of expression. This is great for all forms of
communication, writing and creativity. Luck is on your side with sports, journeys,
travel and long-distance relations. Be cautious around the 20th and
27th as you are more accident prone at these times.
Aquarius
Investments,
acquiring a home or redecorating, are all highlighted this month. Activities
concerning any of these areas should be financially prolific. May demands
greater effort from Aquarians, as it has an amount of stress within it. You’re
in need of more relaxing and you will find it in the peace of your home and in
the midst of your family.
Pisces
May 2016 is highly
favourable for joint work, deals, negotiations, and signing new contracts. The
most challenging, but also the richest in accomplishment, are activities that
require intellectual effort, processing information, writing, communicating,
talking, traveling, and trade.

Mercury stations retrograde on April 28th
in Taurus and stays there till May 22nd. There will in fact at this
point be five retrograde planets for the first time in ten years. Five
retrograde planets is a rare event occurring only 4% of the time. The karmic
implications of this are very powerful.
Several retrograde planets makes the world seem to
slow down. There is an increase in strange or fated events. The healing nature
of this Mercury retrograde is very timely. It will help to heal old wounds that
resurface as repeating events in your life today.
This energy highlights creative expression and
intelligence. It enhances intuition, objectivity and research. These thinking
and communication talents are perfect for addressing Mercury retrograde issues.
