Astral Meanderings September 3-9 2008

In General: September 5, brings a Sun trine to Jupiter in Capricorn, suggesting that this is a great time to form helpful partnerships and invest in cooperative ventures. Jupiter turns direct again on the 8th and encourages us to broaden our horizons and learn new skills. Pluto turns direct on the 9th allowing us to grasp the lessons of the past and encouraging us to embrace the change to come. However, around the same time Mars and Mercury make a square to Jupiter and can cause some friction. Mis-placed words can damage communications so be careful here. For some the now very real possibility of change can be threatening and while previous blocks and limitations are lifted, inner fears can grow unwieldy! The environment about us will mirror this sense of rushed expectancy and confusion with chaotic weather patterns, disordered politics and anarchic world events. If your birthday falls this week then the year ahead will also be somewhat unpredictable and surprises abound. On the world scene there will be unpredictable weather events and some surprises in ongoing fighting hot spots. Locally, enjoy a sense of spaciousness again but keep your mouth shut until you have thought about what you are going say!

The David Malin Awards are an annual astronomical photographic competition organised by the Central West Astronomical Society in Parkes, NSW. After initial display at Parkes the images are then displayed at Sydney Observatory before beginning a national tour.
