In General: The week begins on the 15th with a full Moon in Aries, exact at 6.am. This is an excellent day to get physical and renew your enthusiasm for life! However it’s always wise to keep the breaks on a little with an Aries Moon as the tendency to forcefully act through emotion and not reason can cause problems later. Thankfully Mercury turns direct this week and communication and travel can once again take place without mix ups and mayhem! On the 19th Venus moves into Sagittarius and offers us a romantic and more joyful view of the world and life in general. All in all this is a buoyant week which should keep the smile upon your face. If you have a birthday this week then look forward to a year filled with travel, learning and love. On the World scene leaders could seem a bit prickly and tunnel visioned, hidden agendas can come out into the open! Locally it’s a great time for connecting to nature.

Astral News: Astronomers are calling for more funding to watch southern skies, after an asteroid took sky-gazers by surprise when it entered the earth's atmosphere over Africa on Tuesday. The asteroid was due to come down over Sudan in North Africa, at night, in an area with no observatories and few astronomers. Dr Colin Keay is a conjoint associate professor of physics at the University of Newcastle, and he has been investigating asteroid activity since the 1970s. He says that between the late 1980s and 1996, Australian astronomers were at the forefront of the search for unidentified near earth objects. When the Howard government withdrew the funding, the Southern skies went unwatched. "There's many objects that we need to know about …and that could present a threat," he said. Professor Paul Francis from the Australian National University's Mount Stromlo Observatory says the nature of that threat depends on the size of the asteroid. "Larger ones, maybe about 30 metres across, could knock out a city perhaps and they probably land once every 100 years or so," he said.
