In General: The Full moon this month occurs on the 7th at 15degrees Capricorn. It is also a lunar eclipse and sets the tone for the month ahead. This Full Moon asks us to define our true goals and to see how they marry with the natural flow of our lives. Are we trying too hard, are we missing something more important. Are our goals really our own or are we trying to impress, fit in, adhere to what others expect of us? The new moon, also in Cancer, brings us a total solar eclipse on the 22nd and is important because it is the longest solar eclipse that will occur in the 21st century! It will not be surpassed in duration until 2132!! It heralds major and often intense changes and new beginnings. This New moon is also trined by Uranus adding to the theme of the unexpected and innovative! With Uranus also retrograde this month, from the 1st July, all things new and unanticipated are in focus for the entire month. There is an atmosphere of expectation. Other important astrological occurrences this month are, Venus entering Gemini on the 5th followed by mars in Gemini on the 12th, emphasizing all things to do with beauty, art and relationships. Then Jupiter’s conjunction with Neptune in Aquarius on the 10th also adds impetus to the innovative energy of new beginnings and transformation! This month then, we are to ask ourselves, where are we going and why, and when change beckons, as it will, perhaps we will be prepared with our answer.
