Astral meanders...August overview 2009

There have been two eclipses leading up to August and as its often true that eclipse energy lingers on for weeks, it’s fair to say that it will effect August. There is still the focus on change and a need for calm amidst chaos. It’s a feisty and unpredictable time globally. The most notable thing about the astrology of August then, is the final of the recent trilogy of eclipses which is the Thursday August the 6th Lunar Eclipse at 13degrees Aquarius in the full moon. The Sun is in Leo. Pluto is exactly quincunx the South Node, Pluto opposes Venus, and Saturn is in opposition to Uranus. All of this points to large happenings on a world level and the possibility of large scale humanitarian concerns. So of course we think about the recent swine flu outbreak but also of other natural disasters and worldwide issues. Mars is still in Gemini until August 25th and this can cause some frustration generally especially around August 10-11 and 18th 19th. This latter is especially given to rebellious and angry behaviour. Caution during these two days needs to be primary! Mars in Gemini also continues the theme of restlessness and many of us will want to experience more from our lives on a very fundamental level.
