In General: The Full Moon in Leo on January 30 is a superb viewing opportunity to also observe Mars, which will be closely aligned to the Moon. Gaze East at sunset and you may well have the delight of seeing Mars and the Full Moon rising. With the Moon and mars in opposition to Venus and the sun at this time, it would seem more important than ever to remind those you love that you are a caring and sensitive individual! Overall it’s a slightly uneasy week. Political and economic and humanitarian struggles are still in the news and it seems as though we are in limbo state before any real action occurs.
This Full Moon occurs within just a few hours of the Moon’s northward crossing of the celestial equator, suggesting amplification in the level of the tides, powerful storms with high winds and heavy precipitation and more of the same as we have recently seen where seismic activity is concerned. To add to this a Saturn/Pluto square occurs on January 31. The main focus here will be on the transformation of structures, which can result in power struggles and economic challenges. Pluto promises a new rebirth, but only if we can let go of what no longer serves us. As we let go of the old, we may also obtain a greater sense of control over our personal lives. If you celebrate a birthday this week then you might have a tumultuous year but it will serve you well in the long run! On the world scene, expect high rains, tides, humanitarian struggles and some conflict activity. Locally remember to tell those you love, that you do love them, any action here is better than none!

Astral Peeks: The Sky this week......
Jupiter is the brightest entity low in the Western evening sky. Mars is now also visible low in the later evening sky. In the morning, Mars and Saturn are easily seen above the northern horizon near the vivid stars Regulus and Spica. Mercury is low in the early morning light, and also Mars which is readily visible in the northern sky. Mars is a distinct nearly full disk in a small telescope, and becomes bigger and brighter during the week in the lead up to January 30th. In the evening Mars can be seen from around 10 pm local daylight saving time low in the north-eastern sky.
