As the month of February begins, Venus, Neptune and the Sun are in Aquarius. Mercury, Pluto and the lunar Node are in Capricorn. Saturn is square Pluto, Jupiter is sextile to Pluto and Mars is retrograde in Leo. This makes for the start of a very earthed and centered month. Practicalities are our main concerns and any frustrations will ultimately show themselves as gifts of learning for us. Remembering too that Saturn is still retrograde, asking us to go back and reorganize or renegotiate any activities or commitments that continue to be a source of frustration in our lives. In this we can learn to say no or to get a better perspective on our goals.
This month we are also beginning to become more in touch with spiritual and compassionate energy. This is particularly so for the first week of February when a Venus/Neptune alignment brings plenty of opportunities for practical humanitarian projects or thoughts. To add to this, the New Moon, occurring on February 14 at 25 Aquarius, is conjunct Neptune. This is an altruistic aspect that asks us to be aware of the good of the whole in our actions this month, while still being sensitive to individual needs. It can be a valentine’s filled with a very real attachment to love, peace and harmony!
The Full Moon, which occurs on February 28 at 10 Virgo, is aligned with Jupiter. Virgo themes include health, work, service and animals; being efficient, pragmatic, detail-oriented and critical. The Jupiter aspect asks us to bring some perspective to these life areas and see the growth that has been achieved thus far and where it can move to in the future.
