In General: The most obvious pull on our energies this week comes from the Solar Eclipse (New Moon) on the 12th and in Cancer. This eclipse talks about the Cancerian concepts of compassion, love and peace. It is about finding dignity, agreement and love in our personal lives. As an aside this eclipse falls at the climax of the FIFA World Cup. A total eclipse is when the whole of the eclipsed body of the Sun is blocked out and darkened. This eclipse, although total, will not be seen by many people, as most of its pathway lies over the huge expanses of the South Pacific Ocean. It makes no landfall except for the Cook Islands, Easter Island and several isolated atolls. This eclipse makes a sextile to Mars and heralds the final stage of the Uranus opposition to Saturn. So while relationships are the focus of the week, where they do not meet well and where there is confrontation should become more apparent about this time! Also the unexpected and the opposite of what is the norm are more likely to occur. If you celebrate a personal birthday this week then you can look forward to a year of relationship reorganization. It’s time to implement the changes that have been brewing internally. On the world scene this week is an excellent one for meetings and gatherings of any kind. Some ground breaking decisions are likely and again a little of nature’s unexpected! Locally we can expect odd weather conditions and some confronting interactions.

Astral Peeks: How do Eclipses Happen?
Eclipses of the Sun or of the Moon are astronomical events, obvious to the naked eye, and as regular and as predictable as clockwork. They have an evident physical effect, as the light of either the Sun or the Moon is noticeably dimmed during the period of the eclipse.
