Astral Meanders 20-26 July 2011

In General: This week begins with an energetic and active Aries moon. On the 23rd the Sun moves from Cancer into Leo, sign of the regal and dignified Lion. The need for action and to move more assertively towards our dreams grows a great deal stronger now. At this time we also have the influence of Mars conjunct the South Lunar Node. This can mean that many of us are called upon to release some underlying anger or aggression. We are opening doors to a new beginning that allows us to move freely towards our goals and release some of the things that have been holding us back! Of course this only applies if we have taken the time end energy to apply ourselves to the many lessons that have been visited upon us as individuals of late!! If your birthday falls this week then you can expect to have a year of personal breakthroughs and you may even be surprised at the level of newfound freedom you will enjoy! On the world scene I would expect some political leaders to rage against the old order. There may also be more revealing of things hidden…locally it’s a good idea to get up and out and make the moves you need to make to get the things you really desire…

Aries:
Home and family are good for you this week especially when you are feeling low on energy. Your public profile will take a boost and you will be noticed! Because of this it’s wise to curb that temper of yours and be the nicest Aries you can!! You need to trust that all is working in your favour and try not to push for things.

Jupiter is still working for you guys so make sure to use this energy wisely and go out there and pursue your dreams! It’s a window of opportunity that shouldn’t be missed so make the big decisions now and be strong assertive!! Travel, study and romance are all highlighted and nicely favoured.

It’s still all about hard work and focus this week but the easy part is coming! There is a more sociable phase coming but right now you just need to take care of loose ends and get things on track. Work and employment are highlighted now and in the best way possible! Good things should be happening for you guys at last and it’s wise to make the most of this! Its happy patch where the social world begins to open up to you again. Networking now can really pay off later so go for it. Others are interested in you.

Scorpio:
Any negotiations that you have to be a party to this week will very likely work out in your favour. Your career and reputation are in the spotlight and others are appreciating you for all the good things about you. It’s an excellent time to focus on accomplishment and getting things done well.

Sagittarius:
Your talents are being utilized to their full potential this week Sag as others are happy to send more responsibility your way. You are restless for broader and worldlier experiences that take you outside of your usual routine. Astral peeks: NASA and Vesta…
NASA’S dawn Spacecraft is to begin a prolonged encounter with the asteroid Vesta, making it the first mission to enter orbit around a body in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Engineers expect the spacecraft to be captured into orbit at approximately 3:00pm Saturday, July 16, Sydney time. When Vesta captures Dawn into its orbit, engineers estimate there will be approximately 16,000 kilometres between them. “It has taken nearly four years to get to this point,” said Robert Mase, Dawn project manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. “Our latest tests and check-outs show that Dawn is right on target and performing normally.” In astrology we see Vesta as associated with spiritual truth and cultural values. Perhaps this NASA event is a metaphor for our renewed connection to the spirit and understanding of cultural values in context. We can only hope it augers some positive movement to a new world of greater humanitarian consciousness!


Meditation Moments: The inner Fire. Vesta Goddess of the hearth.

Vesta is a goddess of the hearth, the inner fire, our spiritual well being. As such she suggests we meditate upon keeping our inner fire alive, well and active. The following are some ideas on how to do this! 1. Engage in loving relationships, and avoid situations that create unnecessary distress.2. Consciously survey your life and ask, what am I carrying with me from the past that is no longer serving me and what would I like to bring into my life that I have neglected? 3. Balance your activity by having a regular meditation practice and getting replenishing sleep each night. 4. Practice conscious eating. Your digestion is affected by the conversations at the table, your environment, and your mood when you eat. 5. No matter how consciously you live, modern life exposes you to toxins from pollutants in food, water, and air, to the more subtle toxicity of negative media, cell phones and the Internet. Remember to give yourself a detoxification treatment every now and again! Eat fresh, walk in the country, breath deep and turn the phone off.
