In General: A
New Moon occurs on Thursday, January 30th. In Aquarius, this new
moon suggests friendship, comradeship, group accomplishments, group ventures, humanitarian
efforts, or joining a group of some sort will be a solid focus for many of us.
New beginnings regarding these matters are likely. With
this strong Aquarius energy, we now have the opportunity to make progressive
changes in our lives. For some it is vital to pay more attention to letting changes
occur without blocks. Mercury moves into Pisces on January 31.
As a result we should notice that our thinking processes are more visual, instinctive,
and creative. On the 31st we can also breathe a sigh of relief as Venus
finally Stations direct again. Relationship issues that have been going around
in circles can find some clarity and as a result this may well be the area of
changes for some. For others consolidating the way they see themselves in the
world and developing an understanding of who they are and what they value,
which has been an ongoing adventure these past weeks, will also come to a
clearer conclusion. If you have a birthday this week it is a year of group
associations and activity! On the world scene a greater sense of humanitarianism
should arise and thinking may become more progressive again, especially in
areas where it has been stuck. Expect that social and humanitarian issues will
dominate the news. Locally let the changes flow!
Thought for the
week: “Darkness cannot drive out
darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do
that.” Martin Luther King Jr.
Aries
Aries
Mars is now helping you to think before speaking, to
consider feelings before leaping to conclusions, and to improve your diplomacy
skills. It’s a good thing because your social life is picking up pace, and a
blast of energy is heading your way for making new and important connections.
Taurus
This is your year
of fresh starts and new adventures but as yet it has not quite arrived! As we
move into February it will finally kick in, and with it a stimulating sense of
going with the flow. You are attracted to anything that is non-routine and to people
that are interesting or different in some way, now.
Gemini
This week let
people play their power games if they must but claim the higher impartial
ground and keep your own counsel. The
New Moon brings pleasing energy for any kind of exploration and mental stimulation.
Continue to watch for excesses with money though, and keep to the budget.
Cancer
If situations or
people start to drain you this week, simply extract your energy and attention,
until you have time to recover. This is an expressly introspective cycle throughout
which you have the opportunity to really uncover your personal fortes and
talents. This is an excellent phase in which to do some financial strategizing.
Leo
The New Moon on the
30th brings some virtuous energy for partnerships, and the end of Venus'
retrograde helps you to feel a lot better about your public life, and about
love in general. Social exchanges of a personal, one-on-one kind are highlighted. This could be a busy
time for people who work with clients one-on-one.
Virgo
It’s an important
week to let go of your natural urge to criticize! Health, work, and self-nurturing
plans come into stronger focus now. The New Moon on the 30th can arouse a
take-charge attitude for self-improvement, making it an outstanding time for
new health and wellbeing endeavors.
Libra
The New Moon on the
30th sets the tone for creative new beginnings to come. You are likely to be feeling
good in general, and you tend to spread the happiness. You're more willing to take risks now, so take advantage
of the increased freedom and creativity that comes with this phase.
Scorpio
It’s time to lay
the foundations that will keep you on track for the months to follow. This can
also be a week where things get especially busy and hectic on the domestic
scene. You may feel overwhelmed and unclear about direction now, but this will
past once you enter February and Mars energy kicks in for you.
Sagittarius
It is attention to
the small details, and to other people’s feelings that is most important now. The New Moon on the
30th promotes a more sociable, outgoing cycle for you that sets the tenor for
next month. Your
mind is a bit distracted though, particularly when conditions call for you to
stick to routine.
Capricorn
This is a strong time
for self-improvement efforts and laying the ground work for financial accomplishment. This is a strong
time for directly following your goals, there is definitely that extra push or energy
to get a plan going now, or to assert your desires in a clear and strong way.
Aquarius
Stability and security
are important to you now. They are building nicely but you can be impatient! Whilst
others are into team work and other cooperative endeavors, the focus for you is
on your ability to lead! Family members can be difficult and less cooperative
than usual.
Pisces
This is a less ostensibly assertive time for
you guys as you take the time to process current events in your life and to
develop tactics for going after what you want in the future. You are extra
observant during this phase, and as a result, more calculated and thoughtful
when you do finally take action.
Astral Peeks: Star
gazing in NSW
New South Wales is
an ideal place to explore astronomy, with a number of destinations perfect for
amateur and professional astronomers, or those just curious about the night sky
and our place in the Universe. Ninety percent of Australia's astronomy infrastructure is
currently housed in NSW, with major installations including the Siding Spring
Observatory just outside Coonabarabran and the CSIRO Radio Telescope in
Parkes-aka "The Dish".
The best sites for stargazing
are listed below.
The central west
region of the NSW—and in particular Coonabarabran—is known as Australia’s
capital of astronomy.
The Blue Mountains.
Famous for its one million hectares of World Heritage-listed landscape, the
Blue Mountains provides the altitude and dark skies suitable for spectacular
night viewing and a range of accommodation.
Hunter Valley: Koolang
Observatory which has monthly shows and one of the largest public access
telescopes in Australia.
New England. About
25 km west of Narrabri you’ll come across the Australia Telescope Compact
Array, six 22 metre dish antennas used for radio astronomy. There is a
visitors' centre associated with the telescope.
And of course your
back yard on a cloudless night!
Meditation moments:

together!
Departing London on
1 September and starting in Dublin on 14 September 2014, both tours are
especially designed for those who have a love of history, a fascination for the
mystical, and a desire to visit some of the most beautiful and sacred places in
these most ancient lands. Combining
well-researched historical and archaeological information with the assistance
of expert guides, we shall explore myth and legend, visit holy wells, stone
circles, pagan temples, ancient castles and settlements, pretty villages and
passage tombs. In the West Country, we

time to relax, wander, explore, meditate and experience the power and energy of
the special places we visit, you can be assured of a unique and exceptional
