In General: April is a challenging month all round and
as we begin it, we are gearing up for some major astrological configurations; there
is the Grand Cross we have been feeling as it moves into place all year, and
also two eclipses, which underpin the Grand Cross energy. At this time, the
Universe is really asking us to focus on our self-identity, our relationships,
our home environment and our work life. We should be preparing ourselves for
some big shifts and change on a personal level and also on a global one. More
sedately, Venus moves into Pisces on April 5th and our love,
compassion, and emotional horizons become all-embracing, we are able to forgive
and understand others on a deeper level. Venus in Pisces is tender and demonstrative,
although hard to reach nonetheless, for example there is a longing for
something that is hard to define and tough to gratify. If you have a birthday
this week then get ready for big changes by taking time to sit quietly with yourself.
You will need this time in the midst of a busy year. On the global scene it is
the quiet before the storm so to speak and we may only hear rumblings of things
to come at the moment. Locally tap into that love and compassion and do
something generous for another!

April 8: Mars at
Opposition. The red planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its
face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. This is the best time to view and
photograph Mars.
April15: Total
Lunar Eclipse. The eclipse will be visible throughout most of North America,

April21-22: Lyrids Meteor Shower.
The Lyrids are an average shower, usually producing about 20 meteors per hour
at their peak. These meteors can produce bright dust trails that last for
several seconds. The shower usually peaks on April 21 & 22, although some
meteors can be visible from April 16 - 25. Look for meteors radiating from the
constellation of Lyra after midnight.
April 29: Annular
Solar Eclipse. The path of annularity will begin off the coast of South Africa
and move across Antarctica and into the east coast of Australia. (NASA Map and
