In General: This
week begins on a more sedentary note, with the ponderous energy of Mercury
entering Taurus. Amidst the general chaos this a great opportunity to get some
perspective, and see what is really going on around us! On
the 23rd there is also the energy of a retrograde Mars in Libra
sitting exactly opposite Uranus in Aries! We are called to recognize the need
for diplomatic actions, justice, and fair dealings with an innovative approach
to our path. Mars also squares Pluto in Capricorn at this time. Many of us will
be sowing the seeds to our greater destiny at this time and will need to be
looking at the big picture. On the 25th Mercury conjuncts the Sun
and we can think ourselves to boiling point if we are careful! It’s wiser to
step back, let go and have some time out now! And then on the 29th
the real stuff of this week arises!! A Taurus new moon and a Solar Eclipse!!
Anything in our lives that does not have firm foundations will be rocked hard
now! It can be a magnificently unstable period, but it can also show us where
we should be heading with our lives and give an enormous boost where the work
has been done! Successes are very possible, but we need to prepare ourselves to
let go of some things too! Avoid beginning anything new. We're
all in a major phase of analysis and transformation, so this time is best used
to flow with the energies out there in order to clear out our lives (and our
households, attics, garages, desks, and other areas) so we're prepared for the
new in May. If your birthday is happening this week then it’s a fortuitous if
unpredictable year ahead for you, full of synchronous goings-on! On the world
scene it’s an unstable time, politically and environmentally, secrets will be
exposed, weather patterns will be unusual, tempers will flare and some poor
decisions will be made…! Locally don’t forget to see the craziness in a bigger
perspective, good things generally come out of utter chaos!
Thought for the
week: Ye stars! Which are the poetry of
heaven!

Aries
Aries
Having equilibrium and harmony in your life is much
more important than usual now. A solar eclipse occurs on April 29th in Taurus,
and as a result you can see some improvements in your finances. You
are likely to be presented with new financial opportunities that help you
increase income and make you feel more
financially confident.
Taurus
Taurus, this is a
great time for you to really turn your life around and do something new. Go on
a new voyage for your life, start a big new project, go down a new path.
Opportunities are all over the place, and this is the time for you to grab one
and run with it. The impact of this eclipse can last for up to six months for you.
Gemini
You don’t want to
carry your baggage around any longer, it’s time to let go of the past. You can
likewise focus on your spirituality, and refine your intuition now. Don’t be
afraid to build it. Opportunities for creative enterprises abound. You’re more
easily drained however, and don’t want to focus on anything for too long.
Cancer
Your ideas are more
innovative and unusual this week, and you are inclined to listen to people who
seem to be original thinkers. You can take a chance to step outside of your
comfort zone a little at this time and focus on your dreams, as well as work
hard to make them a reality.
Leo
Energy is high now
and you feel inspired and motivated! You will create long-term plans for
achieving your goals, and you know you can realistically achieve them. You’re much more
ambitious than usual, and focus solely on what you need to do, and nothing seems
to distract you from what you’re doing.
Virgo
Finances can be a problem now, especially if
you have not been especially organized with them in the past. You seem more
vulnerable and your confidence can be shaken easily, especially by what other
people think of you. You need to listen more to what you think of yourself and
perhaps use some positive affirmations.
Libra
On April 29th, the
solar eclipse in Taurus, helps you make a major transformation with something
in your life or within yourself. You will go into it with enthusiasm and a
positive attitude, looking forward to the makeover. You seem more open with your emotions, and are in touch
with how you’re feeling.
Scorpio
This week is a time
when you make important commitments, and get more excited about life. A partner
or loved one could be presented with a significant opportunity, and you will
need to be supportive and encouraging. You are quite emotional at this time and
need to feel the earth underfoot to maintain balance!
Sagittarius
This is a boundless
time for work. You can get a better job, are presented with several new job
opportunities, or can create new job opportunities for yourself. This is also a
good time for your health, and you can work on refining it through diet,
exercise, and adequate relaxation, perhaps try mediation.
Capricorn
If you’ve been
working hard and keen toward your goals and ambitions, you will be rewarded
now, and can attain goals you’ve been trying to achieve, or make strong headway
jobwise. You
may take up a new hobby, start an important creative project at this time. It’s
a busy, chaotic and highly exciting time.
Aquarius
Unlike your usual
self you are experiencing a quiet introverted time at present. You don’t feel
comfortable going outside of your comfort zone, and you want to stick to what and
who you know well. You’re more defensive of your beliefs and traditions too and want to make
others see things as you do!
Pisces
It’s a deep and meaningful eclipse for you
guys and things that you have held deep inside of yourself that you don’t really
want anyone to know about or see, may have to be brought out and dealt with now.
On a positive note great opportunities can come through the internet or with
some form of technology!
Astral Peeks: Partial
Solar Eclipse
An annular solar
eclipse will occur on April 29, 2014. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon
passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image
of the Sun for a viewer on Earth. An annular solar eclipse occurs when the
Moon's apparent diameter is smaller than the Sun's, blocking most of the Sun's
light and causing the Sun to look like an annulus (ring). An annular eclipse
appears as a partial eclipse over a region of the Earth thousands of kilometers
wide. The center of the moon's shadow misses the South Pole of the Earth, but
the partial eclipse will be visible from parts of Antarctica and Australia.
Viewers will see
between 64% (Hobart) - 4% (Darwin) of the Sun covered by the Moon, with
southern Australia favoured (the opposite of last year’s annular eclipse). The
partial solar eclipse occurs close to sunset and in some places such as Sydney
and Brisbane the Sun sets during maximum partial eclipse. This is an excellent
opportunity of get dramatic images of the "Crescent" sun setting. You
will, however, need a flat, unobstructed horizon to see the eclipse at its
best. For us (Yamba) this eclipse begins
close to 4.30pm.
