In General: The
Sun enters Taurus this week raising some of that Taurus stubbornness and giving
a steady if albeit slow pace to our endeavours. Making things work without
getting side-tracked or distracted, is the focus. Then there is that Cardinal
grand Cross I have been writing about for some time. This Cardinal Grand Cross
has been moving in and out of configuration since December 27, 2013 and
continues to shift back and forth till May 2014. Now we are moving into the
most challenging time for this configuration and many of us would have already
begun to feel the effects. We’re being challenged to breakdown
long standing patterns in order to rebuild them into something better. We are
going to need to stay focussed on what is important to us and to make a turning
point in our lives be it internal or external. Whilst many astrologers
are worried about this configuration, I as you know, believe that nothing in
astrology is good or bad, its only energy and in the end it’s just how you
choose to deal with this energy. Also of note at the height of the Grand Cross,
is the meeting between the South Node, Mercury and Juno. This adds some
intensity that is centred on dealing with broken promises and releasing old
contracts that no longer work. It might be literal, especially in a Global
sense as in political back-tracking, renegotiation and ill placed bravado or it
may be activated on a more personal, karmic level for some of us individually.
If you have a birthday this week, then it’s a turning point year for you! Life
may seem chaotic initially but ultimately your goals will become more defined!
On the world scene it’s a game changing week, we may not see all the results
immediately but what is set in motion now will have major long term
consequences and there will be the potential for all types of political crisis,
odd weather configurations and natural disasters. Again keep in mind the
positives here and that much of the turmoil is about getting the balance, in
the end right! It’s a time for knowing what you believe in and being prepared
to act on it!
Thought for the
week: Truth only reveals itself when one
gives up all preconceived ideas. ~Shoseki
Aries
Aries
This is a week when
forgiveness seems the best road to travel and allows you to let go of those
attitudes and behaviors that have been keeping you from easily moving onward. It is also a lovely
time for taking some moments to please yourself through earthy, physical, and
calming endeavors.
Taurus
Some lovely social
opportunities arrive this week. You are feeling more active, independent, and
daring now too. With the
Sun entering Taurus and then Mercury following you seem to have more personal
impact and a stronger ability to speak your mind. It can be a time of
stabilization and centering!
Gemini
As the Sun enters
earth sign Taurus, you feel better and more settled when you’re by yourself and
not getting too much attention from anyone. You don’t want to be disturbed, and
prefer to just have time alone so you can rest. You’re more easily drained now and a short holiday would
do you wonders!
Cancer
This week you do
your best thinking when you’re with your friends or in a group. Others help
show you what you’re missing, point out other ways of approaching the
circumstances you are in. Your ideas are more innovative and you listen more to
people who seem to be original thinkers.
Leo
This week a parent,
boss, or mentor could be in the spotlight, or you are for something you’ve
done. Your
focus is excellent now and you have greater intellectual discipline. You can
make long-term plans for attaining your goals, and you have the drive and
confidence to realistically achieve them.
Virgo
Your personal
magnetism is highlighted now and you can really use this to your advantage ion
relationships. Those
who are single, are more willing than normal to enter into a committed
relationship at this time. You approach delicate, intimate, personal matters
with rationality and reason.
Libra
You are very keen
to make changes and transform at least one part of your life! You may also be
adjusting to changes that have been forced upon through family or friends. Do
be aware that you are very serious at the moment, and may just be a little too
intense at times. Remember to smile at yourself and have a little fun with the
journey!
Scorpio
You’re more
fair-minded, seek objectivity and equality, and are excellent at negotiating
truces and compromises now. A partner can be of great help to you now in some
way! You are more inclined to commit to things and people now and this will
have a long term effect on your life!
Sagittarius
This is a good time
to build on your skills, to get structured, and to attend to your health and general
wellbeing. It's also a great time to make enhancements to your regular
routines. Effectiveness should be your goal now. You might enjoy investigating
speculative projects now.
Capricorn
By being a little
less rigid in your approach and allowing yourself to have a little enjoyment
you will come up with some good ideas and make the proper changes to your
journey! If you insist on being too serious it will all just get too hard and
you will in the end get distracted!! You are very close to achieving your
dreams.
Aquarius
You feel afraid of
change and want some stability in your life now, which is very unlike the usual
you! You need to feel comfortable and at ease in your surroundings. You need
some rest and relaxation. A home improvement project that you begin now may be
more onerous than you imagine! Plan carefully.
Pisces
This can be a
strong period for collecting new money-making ideas. Alternatively, it could be
a time when you lean towards fretting over your funds. You also could be
exploring anger and contention over acutely buried matters, and learning to
better manage your life on an emotional level.
Astral Peeks: APRIL
21-22 Lyrids Meteor Shower.
The Lyrids are an average shower, usually producing
about 20 meteors per hour at their peak. These meteors can produce bright dust
trails that last for several seconds. The shower usually peaks on April 21
& 22, although some meteors can be visible from April 16 - 25. Look for
meteors radiating from the constellation of Lyra after midnight. Considered
to be the oldest known meteor shower, the Lyrids are named after constellation
Lyra. The radiant point of the shower - the point in the sky where the meteors
seem to emerge from - lies near the star Vega, one of the brightest stars in
the sky during this time of the year.
The Lyrids are associated with comet Thatcher, which
takes about 415 years to orbit around the Sun.
