In General: This week begins with a mercury sextile mars. Mercury is also conjunct the brightest of all fixed stars Sirius. This would be a favourable few days for open and honest negotiations and especially for business talks and bargaining. Uranus retrogrades from the fifth and will not go back into forward motion until December of this Year. This begins a time when we are able to delve into our own personal truths with more alacrity than usual. The challenges will come from the need to be true to ourselves no matter what! We are also still in the energy of the partial full moon eclipse of June 26th. It's conjunction with Pluto has given it a great deal of power. Both Uranus and Mercury are close enough in orb to be energetically effectual and Mars joins in this aspect as well. Odd weather conditions and some unexpected natural phenomenon are indicated. This mirrors onto the personal level by instigating transformational changes that we might see as surprising. If your birthday falls within this week then the year ahead will be challenging and transformative. Expect to be making some unexpected changes! On the world scene there are likely to be some surprises from Mother Nature and politically we can expect more transformative and again unexpected changes to occur worldwide! Locally we should concentrate on maintaining our personal balance whilst the chaos rages around us!

Astral Peeks: Pluto:
A few words on the mythology of Pluto which is influencing us quite strongly at present!
Pluto is named after the god of the underworld, Hades in Greek mythology. He took Persephone, daughter of Demeter, into the underworld. Demeter would not allow anything to grow on the earth and it became barren until Persephone's safe return. A compromise was reached where she spent part of the year in the underworld and part of year on earth, so we have the seasons of summer and winter.
When Pluto was first discovered, the atom bomb was being developed, which came to epitomize total destruction and annihilation. Pluto's symbolism is about change and transformation through the painful process of finding truth and meaning. It also corresponded with the rise of depth psychology. Our new understanding of Pluto and its new definition as a dwarf planet is a symbol of our own new understanding of ourselves and where we sit in the universe.
