In General: It’s an intense month but much good can come of it! However it
requires some conscious thought and a desire to respond to situations as
opposed to just reacting! As July sets
out Venus and Jupiter both trine Uranus in Aries encouraging us to be receptive
to new ideas. The Sun and Mars both trine spiritual planet Neptune in Pisces making
People more idealistic and sensitive, with greater concern for the welfare of
others.
The Capricorn full moon on 1 July is close to Pluto and
opposite Mars, bringing a powerful depth of expression. This intense push and
pull tension has the potential to place incredible strain on personal
relationships. The themes of aggression and war will be prominent too, because
of the intensifying influence of the Sun opposite Pluto. Relationships with
shared ideals and values, or spiritual beliefs, will more easily cope with any frustration
or revelations coming from this full moon. July 31 is the second full Moon in
the month of July.
If you have a birthday this month then expect a year that is
intense, emotional and can bring you closer to those you love. On the world scene
it can be very volatile this month. Great
opportunities for compassionate behaviour are out there, but equally so are
opportunities to show aggression and stubbornness. Locally, focus on doing everything
from a place of love and understanding.
Aries
July 8th, Mercury enters water sign Cancer, and you understand
the emotions in situations more straightforwardly now. Mercury joins the Sun in
Leo on July 23rd, and you can come up with creative solutions and have plenty
of focus for creative ventures. The details and the mundane tasks aren’t
something you’re interested in however.
Taurus
On July 25th, Venus
turns retrograde, and you’re slothful in love, more selfish, and a little more easy-going.
You can be lazy at home, with family and loved ones, not wanting to help them
with their issues, and your nurturing, sympathetic side can go out of the
window as you demand more from them than you’re willing to give in return.
Gemini
July 1st full moon
occurs in earth sign Capricorn, and you can be very solemn with this full moon.
You may need to deal with a serious matter, and it makes you focus on things
you hold deep inside of yourself. You can also however, be a phoenix rising
from the ashes with this full moon, and come back from defeat in some way.
Cancer
The new moon on the
15th occurs in your sign, and this is a good time of year to get something
started. Prepare yourself in advance to be able to hit the ground running when
the opportunity presents itself, and make the most of the early stages. The second full moon on
July 31st in air sign Aquarius, and you can now focus on something more serious
in your life.
Leo
This is a time of new
beginnings in your life. You come across as warmer or more assertive. Mercury
joins the Sun in Leo on July 23rd, and you want to share everything that you’ve
been keeping to yourself. You feel like opening up to everyone about
everything, and you want to be loud and to be heard. You can take the lead and you
have a more positive attitude.
Virgo
The full moon on the
1st occurs in your love sector, and you can take love more seriously then. The
full moon on the 31st occurs in your work sector, and you can become more
committed to your work if you love it, or hate it more if you don’t. The Venus
retrograde later in the month can add to these feelings.
Libra
July 8th, Mercury
enters Cancer, and you focus on the goals you have for your life. You think
about the plans you’ve made, and can make new long-term plans with a practical
attitude and an ability to be realistic about what you can accomplish. You get
advice from elders you respect, and have important conversations about the
direction your life is going in.
Scorpio
You want to keep
things casual in love during the first half of the month. During the second
half of the month, you can be at a standstill with what you want generally, and
aren’t sure of the responsibilities you have. Love just doesn’t feel like a big
priority, and you get distracted by other things that get in the way and keep
you occupied.
Sagittarius
Dealing with the more
serious matters in your life can be easier now, and you don’t take them too
seriously. Last full moon in July, is in air sign Aquarius, and you can finish
up small projects, settle a dispute with a sibling or neighbor or cut ties with
them, or finish a project in your community. Words have more of an impact on
you than usual.
Capricorn
You can start a new
relationship or partnership, see a partner or loved one presented with an
opportunity that you support them through, or you’re presented with an
opportunity through a loved one. Being compromising and fair can be beneficial
to you. Your confidence can be shaky if you let other people’s opinions influence
how you feel about yourself.
Aquarius
You can be there for
those you care about, and you’re more agreeable and easier to get along with in
July. You may come across as more charming, graceful, and diplomatic. You want
to have some peace and harmony in your life so you mind works at its optimum
level, and you can try to bring some mental balance in, focusing on all areas
of life similarly.
Pisces
You focus more on
work later in the month, and as your mind is detail-oriented, you can come up
with new innovative plans, you try to be especially productive. It can be a
good time to consider going back to work for someone you used to work for, or
at a job you used to be in. You can start a new creative project, take up a new
hobby, or plan for a vacation.

Planets
this month
Rising about ninety minutes before the Sun at the
beginning of July, Mercury will only be observable early in the month.
Venus and Jupiter begin the month less than half a
degree apart in the western evening sky and should be visible in any reasonable
telescope on the evening of the 1st of the month. They immediately separate
however and by the end of the month are almost 6.5 degrees apart. The brighter
of the two, Venus passes three degrees to the south of Leo's brightest star,
Regulus on the 19th where it is joined by a thin crescent waxing Moon.
The red planet has re-entered the morning sky after
conjunction with the Sun on the 15th of last month but will be hidden in the
early morning twilight until next month.
Saturn sits on the scales of Libra as it continues its
retrograde loop against the background stars. High in the north eastern sky
after the Sun has set and in an ideal spot for observation, it is an awe
inspiring sight even in small telescopes.
